The Order of Bona Dea
Last updated: 28 October 2025
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern all access to, use of, and engagement with the writings, teachings, communications, and offerings of The Order of Bona Dea (“the Order”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) through Substack and any related platforms, events, or correspondence.
By reading, subscribing to, or otherwise engaging with the Order’s publications, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept these Terms, you are not authorised to access or engage with any work or communication issued by the Order.
1. Nature and Purpose
The Order of Bona Dea issues writings and teachings for spiritual, philosophical, cultural, and educational purposes only. All content represents expressions of doctrine, reflection, or art. Nothing produced or spoken by the Order constitutes or should be interpreted as professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to medical, legal, psychological, or financial advice.
Each reader or participant bears sole responsibility for how they interpret, understand, or apply the Order’s materials. Engagement with the Order’s work implies acknowledgment that spiritual and intellectual inquiry is a matter of personal discernment and self-responsibility.
The Order functions as a sovereign spiritual body, independent of governmental, religious, or institutional authority. Its purpose is the restoration of sacred order, spiritual discipline, and moral refinement among those who seek divine truth.
2. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Order, its founder, officers, affiliates, contributors, and representatives shall not be liable for any loss, injury, claim, damage, or consequence of any kind arising directly or indirectly from:
engagement with, reliance upon, or interpretation of any doctrine, statement, or communication issued by the Order;
participation in any assembly, correspondence, meditation, or ritual connected to the Order;
access to or use of any platform, website, or publication associated with the Order; or
any delay, interruption, error, or omission in the operation of such platforms.
You expressly agree that all participation and interpretation occur entirely at your own discretion, risk, and responsibility.
No oral or written information from the Order shall create any warranty, representation, or guarantee of any kind. You agree to release, defend, and hold harmless the Order and its representatives from all present and future claims, known or unknown, arising from your engagement.
2A. Consultations, Meditations, and Spiritual Workings
All consultations, readings, meditations, rituals, and spiritual workings conducted by or through The Order of Bona Dea, whether delivered in person, in writing, by correspondence, or through any digital means, are offered for spiritual, philosophical, and educational purposes only.
They do not constitute therapy, counselling, treatment, diagnosis, or professional advice of any kind. Participation in any such activity is voluntary and undertaken entirely at the participant’s own discretion and risk.
The Order, its founder, and its representatives accept no responsibility or liability for any perception, interpretation, effect, or outcome — physical, psychological, emotional, financial, spiritual, or otherwise — arising before, during, or after such engagement.
All consultations and meditations are offered as sacred dialogues for reflection and self-realisation. Any healing, insight, or transformation that may occur is understood to arise from divine grace and personal agency, not from the actions or promises of the Order or its representatives.
3. No Warranties or Promises
All content is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The Order makes no representations or warranties of any nature, express or implied, including but not limited to accuracy, reliability, completeness, suitability, or fitness for any purpose.
The Order does not guarantee that its writings or digital platforms will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, nor that they will yield particular results, revelations, or experiences.
Spiritual insight, healing, and transformation are matters of divine grace and human readiness. The Order claims no control over such outcomes.
4. Intellectual Property
All names, symbols, writings, teachings, emblems, and imagery associated with The Order of Bona Dea are protected under international copyright and intellectual property law.
No portion of the Order’s work may be copied, reproduced, published, adapted, translated, distributed, or otherwise transmitted in any form without prior written consent from the Order.
Fair quotation for purposes of commentary or scholarship is permitted only with explicit and visible attribution to The Order of Bona Dea. Any unauthorised use constitutes a breach of these Terms and of international intellectual property law.
5. Membership and Participation
Subscribing to the Order’s Substack or communicating with the Order does not constitute membership or initiation. Membership, where offered, is by personal invitation only and may be withdrawn at any time at the Order’s sole discretion.
The Order reserves the right to restrict, suspend, or permanently withdraw access to any person, subscriber, or group without explanation or liability.
Participation in the Order’s assemblies, gatherings, or spiritual works is voluntary. By participating, you confirm that you are of sound mind, of legal age, and acting under your own volition.
6. Privacy and Confidentiality
Personal information collected through Substack subscriptions is governed by Substack’s own privacy policy. The Order itself does not sell, rent, disclose, or otherwise share personal data with any external entity, except where required by law or for the defence of its lawful interests.
The Order respects discretion as a sacred principle. Any private correspondence between the Order and its members or readers shall be treated as confidential, unless disclosure is explicitly permitted by both parties or required by lawful authority.
7. Communication and Conduct
All correspondence with the Order must be respectful and conducted in good faith. The Order does not tolerate harassment, defamation, or interference with its sacred operations. Any such behaviour may result in immediate restriction or termination of access.
You agree not to use the Order’s name, likeness, or materials to promote unlawful activity, misrepresentation, or personal gain.
8. Modifications and Updates
The Order reserves the right to amend, update, or replace these Terms at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be available on the Order’s official Substack page. Continued engagement constitutes acceptance of any modifications.
It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
9. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
The Order exists under a dual-seated sovereignty, reflecting both its sacred and legal dimensions:
Spiritual Seat: Italy — consecrated to the legacy of Bona Dea and the Roman divine tradition, under which the Order holds its eternal spiritual authority.
Legal Seat: Republic of Panama — under whose civil law the Order maintains its juridical constitution, ensuring autonomy, privacy, and sovereign governance.
All legal interpretation, arbitration, and enforcement of these Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Panama, excluding its conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Panama City, Republic of Panama.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, such provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the remainder shall remain in full effect.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Order concerning your access to and engagement with its content and supersede all prior understandings, agreements, or communications, whether written or verbal.
No waiver of any term shall be deemed a continuing waiver or a waiver of any other term.
12. Acknowledgement of Sovereignty and Responsibility
By engaging with the works of The Order of Bona Dea, you affirm your sovereignty as a free and responsible being. You acknowledge that all understanding, interpretation, and consequence rest entirely within your own will.
The Order does not compel belief or submission. It teaches freedom under divine law and assumes no guardianship over the souls of others.
You enter into this covenant voluntarily, in consciousness, and at your own discretion.
